NO TIME TO PRAY
I woke up early this morning As night turned into day. I made a delicious breakfast, But I didn't take time to pray.
I hurried to do the laundry; Did some cleaning without delay. Then decided I had to go shopping, But I didn't make time to pray.
By late afternoon I was lonely; Called a friend to see what she'd say. We talked for over an hour, But I didn't have time to pray.
After supper I turned on the T.V. Watched a movie that was okay; Next, I read "The Daily News", But I didn't find time to pray.
Well, It's time to go to bed now, It's time to call it a day. "Dear Father . . ." (my eyes are so heavy, I'm really too tired to pray).
There's only so few hours And so much to do in a day; I hope that God does understand I really don't have time to pray.

FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
"Father, my prayer to You today Is to fill me with your love; To bear the Fruit of Your Spirit That is sent from heaven above:
LOVE, JOY and PEACE, Instead of hatred and strife; Fill me, Lord, with Your Spirit Everyday throughout my life.
And Lord, help me be PATIENT With others that I see; To treat each of them with KINDNESS So Jesus they'll see in me.
I pray also to be GOOD And FAITHFUL in word and deed; To be attentive to Your leading, To be willing to sow the seed.
To GENTLY correct those in error And with empathy walk in their shoes; To be able to tell them of You, Lord, To help them desire to choose:
To follow after You, Lord, Or to stay in bondage to sin; To show them they're losing the battle That with You they can only win.
And last, but not least, I do ask, Lord, To help me have SELF-CONTROL; To walk by the power of the Spirit Keeping fleshly desires in toll.
This nine-clustered Fruit of the Spirit Is aready given to me; By Your grace, Lord, let it grow and mature So You, in me, they'll see."

YOU'RE THE ANSWER
Lord, let me never be guilty Of keeping others from You; For there are people around me Watching whatever I do.
They wait to see how I react To trials I go through. Do they see any difference in me In what I say and do?
Do I complain and worry About my circumstance? Or do I show my trust in You That nothing happens by chance?
Do I speak in love the way I should Or do unkind words I say? Do I let them know I depend on You To help me throughout the day?
Do I let them know You're the Answer To every problem in life? That without You there will be no peace But only frustration and strife?
To others I may be the only Bible they'll ever read; I may be the only sermon they'll hear That will tell them that You'll meet their need.
Lord, help me to be the witness That You would want me to be To others all around me So that Jesus in me, they'll see.
Forgive me, Lord, for falling so short Of what You have in store; But let me every day hence forth Reflect You more and more.

WORDS
Help me, Lord, to guard my tongue, To think before I talk; To ask myself if what I say Will hurt my Christian walk.
Will what I say help others, Or hinder them in some way? Will they build them up or tear them down . . . Lord, help me to watch what I say.
Each idle word I'll give account As I stand before You some day: Words of anger- spoken in haste- Words that hurt in some way.
Help me, Lord, not to have regrets, But to speak to others in love; To say what will edify and help: Words of wisdom from above.
